REALISM

The Realism is born like answer to the prevailing Romanticism in first half of century XIX. With the revolutions 1848 bourgeois it changes the taste by the literary forms. These revolutions gave the triumph to the bourgeoisie, that is par excellence going to be the social class of century XX. With these revolutions it appears economic liberalism. Capitalism prevails, and the wealth move. The nobility based her power on the cradle, that is to say, concerned the blood and the family to whom you belonged, and that was unremovable. But now they begin to create great fortunes. In return they are going to appear the first labor movements. It bursts in into the social panorama the socialism and the idea of the fight of classes. In this panorama of historical changes the art is going to analyze the reality that surrounds to him. In order to elaborate this analysis the way changes to see the life. History and mythology lose importance. The artists happen to portray the reality in which they live. In Literature the novel becomes the queen of the sorts, but no longer the romantic period is an historical novel like n, but it happens to be a faithful picture of the reality. But he is divided in two interpretations: Realism proper and Naturalismo.
